01 Education Benefits
State Tuition Exemption Program offers 100 percent tuition at state colleges and universities for up to 15 semesters. Additionally, the Patriot Scholarship program pays all mandatory fees at state colleges and universities for members of the Louisiana Air National Guard.

02 STATE TAX ADVANTAGE
Military pay that is exempt from federal taxes is also exempt from Louisiana state taxes. Military retired pay is also excluded from Louisiana state income tax

03 LEAVE PROGRAM
State employees who are members of a reserve component are eligible for 15 days paid leave per calendar year when ordered to duty or training.

04 COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS
Members who become permanently and totally disabled are eligible for a $100,000 disability benefit. The beneficiaries of a Service member who is killed are eligible for a $250,000 death benefit. State Sponsored Life Insurance (SSLI) program provides group term life insurance exclusively for actively serving members of the Air National Guard organizations and their dependents

05 Miscellaneous
As a Louisiana Air National Guard member, you’ll get free bridge toll passes, a credit union membership and license plates. Members also receive a discount of twenty-five (25%) percent of the premium for automobile liability coverage. Veterans, their spouses and parents are eligible for the Veterans’ Hiring Preference. Qualified veterans may be hired for a probational or job appointment without a civil service examination
